Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka prefecture

Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan. This mountain stretches over Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures.  Surprisingly, the boundaries of the summit of the mountain are not marked off because 2 prefectures compete for ownership.  In Shizuoka, every February 22nd is the day of Mt. Fuji.  On that day, Shizuoka prefecture asks the people of the prefecture to think about Mt. Fuji to give us affluent mercy.  Concretely, that day holds a lot of events.  For instance, a Mt. Fuji photo contest, lectures about nature of Mt. Fuji and collecting stories concerning Mt. Fuji.  Mt. Fuji is not only the highest mountain in Japan, but also symbol of Japan.
